The 20th Anniversary Construction Career Days will be better than ever! Every year registration closes early because maximum capacity is reached. CCD has expanded the hours and added a whole day hoping to host more students and increase their time to explore. Usually, CCD hosts about 1300-1500 students per day for 3 hours. For the 2022 event, CCD’s expanded hours will allow for the attendees to spread out; this will provide increased space to remain socially distant, shorter lines for activities, and more time to explore.
Beyond the large spectrum of hands-on activities offered at the event, this year will also include new engagements.
Breakout Sessions:

“Diversity in the Workforce” – A panel Q&A about diversity in the construction industry.
“Careers in Construction” – A presentations on the many pathways to careers in construction.
“A Day in Life” – A presentation on the daily expectations of employment and the difference between career vs job.
Friendly Competitions
- Students will be invited to compete in small competitions during the event demonstrating hand tool and safety skills, and knowledge of construction. More information to come!
Hiring!
- A new section of exhibitors will be added for students ages 16 -18 seeking Summer, part-time, or full-time positions.
- Senior students are encouraged to bring resumes to secure job interviews with employers on-site. Students who have already received job-offers prior to the event will be featured as part an “Intent to Hire Celebration.”
